ISPCA Launches Celebrity Christmas Card Campaign

The ISPCA (The Irish Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is to launch a Celebrity Christmas Card Campaign featuring well-known Irish men and women and their pets.

Every year in Ireland, a large number of pets are bought as Christmas presents and then abandoned a few days or weeks later, when people realise the amount of care and attention they need. The series of Christmas cards feature well-known Irish men and women and their pets, including TV3 weatherman John Murphy and his golden retriever Rex and newsreader Anne Foyle and her Persian cat; whom all gave their services for free.

Sharon Owen, spokesperson for the ISPCA disclosed: “The Christmas card market is a very big competitive one but we’re confident our cards will sell. We’ve chosen celebrities who people can relate to and we’re hoping to attract the attention of animal-lovers across the country”.

The cards cost €5 for a pack and they will be available in all major retail stores from Saturday 24th November.

For further information on the campaign log on to www.ispca.ie or telephone 01-12345678 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday
